In order to be known as a dental practitioner, you need to network, build connections.

 

Another important thing would be to have good staff retention.

 

You decided to do  your masters in Dundee in  Prosthodontics, why?

 

I simply wanted to gain more experience than a general dentist. As a woman, I needed to choose something realistic and something that isn't super challenging like oral surgery. I had to take my family time into consideration as well.

 

When students are considering a speciality,  what do you think is most important to consider?

 

You need to consider the type of learner you are. . Even if you are in a position where you want to do two things- nothing is stopping you from focusing on one thing now and doing the other thing later. You should want to try it all because how would you know what you are capable of doing without trying.

 

How do you find your Phd Journey?

 

Im really loving it, im learning new things about dentistry and understanding the complexity of dental materials.

 

What would your biggest advice be to students?

 

Listen to yourself and dont be completely indecisive. If you keep having a double mind, it can affect how your pathway is supposed to
