Introduction

 

Had a really unusual and thought provoking conversation with Dr Rachel Jackson. She is born and brought up in Scotland.

 

She has had quite the expansive career and her zeal, determination and optimism for self growth and development really inspired me. 

 

After a 2 hour chat, I learnt what the epitome of perseverance is. She graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in medical illustration and had a daughter so ended up moving back to her home in the highlands. With a turn of faith she ended up in dental nursing but her thirst for knowledge and need for growth took her on a journey towards dentistry.

Her love for art and science stayed persistent throughout her journey and this unexpectedly led her on a path to produce artwork covers for the BDJ!!!

 

 

Her story really opens you up to the expanse of the dental field. She combined subjects that are on different ends of the spectrum with her own unique vision that really inspires.
