Introduction
Tackled some of the most difficult issues within dentistry with Dr Thompson. He had some real insight to share on the realities of a career in dentistry.
His dental journey began at the University of Dundee wbere he graduated in 1975. He then carried on to do Junior houseman for 6 months to improve restorative skills and extra training in IV sedation.
However, he completed his final year of BDS in Nova Scotia, Canada.
He then practiced for 5 years as a general dentist and sole owner in Halifax, Canada . Dr Thompson took the brave step of opening his own practice between 1977 to 1982.
However, he wanted to become an orthodontist and completed his qualification University of Toronto from 1982 to 1984.
During his early years of his orthodontic practice, he gained a certificate in business studies at the University of St Marys, Halifax He has been part of Canadian Orthodontic partners for over 30 years.
